Dr. Edwin J. Riley, III, D.M.D.
Dr. Edwin (Ted) Riley graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine graduating magna cum laude with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. He was awarded the Harvard Alumni Gold Medal for Scholastic Excellence, the Alumni Nesbett Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry and the American Academy of Periodontology Award. Dr. Riley continued his training and graduated from the Harvard postdoctoral prosthodontics program. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at Harvard where he has received multiple Outstanding Faculty Awards. He is a member of numerous prosthodontic organizations including the Academy of Prosthodontics, the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Prosthodontic Society, the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. Dr. Riley is also a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry and the National Hockey League Team Dentist Association. He is the Team Dentist of the Boston Bruins and the proud recipient of a 2011 Stanley Cup Championship Ring.
Dr. Edwin J. Riley, IV, D.M.D.
Dr. Edwin (Ed) Riley’s dental education began in grade school when he would listen to his father prepare slide presentations for national and international meetings. While in college, he worked in the department of Cytokine Biology at Forsyth Dental Center, in Boston, helping with different research projects. He is included as a co-author on the published research in the Journal of Dental Research. Dr. Riley graduated cum laude from Boston College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he excelled and was awarded the American College of Prosthodontics Award. His postdoctoral training was at Boston University in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. On completion of his program, Dr. Riley took a position as an instructor at the dental school and started working in private practice with his father. Now, he works in partnership with his father. Dr. Riley is the consulting team dentist for the Boston Red Sox, and he also provides team dental coverage for the Boston Bruins. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Academy For Sports Dentistry. He stays current by attending continuing education courses sponsored by local and national organizations including the Academy of Prosthodontics and the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Rita K. Han, D.D.S. M.M.Sc
Dr. Rita K. Han received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. After graduation, she pursued post-doctoral training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Masters in Medical Science, and is one of the few clinicians worldwide to hold dual specialty certificates in both Prosthodontics and Periodontics. While at Harvard, Dr. Han worked on various research projects focused in dental implants and presented nationally and internationally on the subject. Dr. Han is a board certified periodontist specializing in placement and restoration of dental implants, periodontal surgeries and is a board eligible prosthodontist specializing in major restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She is certified by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics to deliver Botox treatment to address cosmetic concerns and treat issues associated with the temporal mandibular joint (TMJ). Since joining the practice, she has been involved with team coverage for the Boston Bruins. Dr. Han has recently been elected Secretary of the Boston District Dental Society, is a member of the Harvard Odontological Society and the American Academy of Dental Science, one of the oldest dental societies in the country. Dr. Han stays current with continuing education as a member of diverse dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, American College of Prosthodontics, Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and American Academy of Periodontology.
